One step closer

I finished the majority of the assigned courses.

Wow.

There is so much information, so much customization possible, and so many parameters to keep in mind. I'm certainly glad that we're having them do the initial site design.

I've noticed with the training I conduct that one of the more difficult knowledge transfer pieces is terminology. We all try to limit jargon as much as possible, but we're often constrained by the design of the systems we're teaching and have no choice but to use unusual terms, acronyms, or words that have multiple meanings. Now I know how new employees feel!

We have a strategy and design meeting with Learn.com next week. We're going to tell them how we envision the user experience and they'll tell us how the LearnCenter needs to be structured to create it.

I only have one question right now. Who gets to be the full time employee managing this stuff? :)
