Testing The Water With a Couple Social Learning Courses and Communities
Corporate University Xchange is developing several courses to launch on our new Social Learning platform. They include: Finance for the Learning Leader and Leaders as Teachers by Dr. Ed Betof who wrote the book by the same title. We're also working with some other great companies with extremely powerful brands to develop some additional courses on Corporate Social Responsibility and Employment Brand.
On a related note, we plan to launch a community to support the design and implementation of the Al Nour Academy: Developing Leadership Excellence, a non-profit Leadership Academy dedicated to developing leaders in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the Middle East.
Dr. Mohamed Moustafa Mahmoud of the Savola Group, a large conglomerate in the Kingdom, is meeting with the Deans and International Outreach Faculty at MIT, Wharton, Thunderbird, Babson, and Harvard. Corporate University Xchange hopes to recruit some great companies to support the new leadership academy with courses, online lectures and case studies. Dr. 3M - as he is know to colleagues - facilitated a brainstorming session with folks from McKinsey, Kenexa and others to conceive the academy's mission, purpose, target audience, scope and so on. It will be a very interesting project to support, and a great trial for all the possibilities social learning offers.
