I think any study would have to address these 5 concepts:
• type of content
• type of learners
• organizational culture
• time resources
• environment of learning
I wonder if much literature on self-organized learning exists online...

Why I'm Here
A few years ago, I returned to the field of instructional design after a 15-year hiatus, but have worked exclusively for one client that has its delivery methods well defined and just needed someone to churn out the courses. It's been easy work.
Now I'm working with a new client wanting to take a classroom course and adapt it to web delivery. The client is enamored with "blended learning" and "learning maps," Using social media for learning is also in the conversation.
So here I am. Hoping to learn.
