We want to a) gauge your level of experience with screencasting and b) make sure you come out of the program with what you need to take the next steps.

Do you record? Why do you use screencasting? What programs do you use? Do you do it in your organization?

How do you expect to use what you learn? What would you like to get out of the session?

What is it you would like to come away with regarding screencasting? Would you feel more comfortable going to a "Basic" or "Advanced" class?

Not sure what "screencasting" is. We conduct frequent webinars which are recorded. We (my coworker) have done screen capture and included it in self-paced training...but I have not done this myself. I would be comfortable in the "Basic" class.

I have not heard this term, but according to Wikipedia it is essentially what we have been studying and doing with Camtasia and Captivate. This is a critical piece of what we need in a more agressive form at our company. It is a more enticing tool for us in our realm than podcasting. I would want to learn more about delivery methods, excellent and simple design, and tools and be ready to produce one with tools I already have if possible after the session. We have Camtasia and Captivate and audio recording equipment.
