We want to a) gauge your level of experience with podcasts and b) make sure you come out of the program with what you need to take the next steps.
Do you subscribe to any? Which are your favorite? Do you use RSS? From where do you listen to podcasts? Do you have a podcast of your own? What programs do you use to record and edit? Do you have one in your organization? What is the subject?
How do you expect to use what you learn? What would you like to get out of the session?
What is it you would like to come away with regarding podcasts? Would you feel more comfortable going to a "Basic" or "Advanced" class?
I have listened to a few and have been interviewed on one. I do not subscribe to any. The challenge for me is that I have decided that I normally do not want someone else deciding what I am going to learn that day. I think it is important that I find content on a topic that I am ready to learn about and that is presented by those who should be in a position to provide solid information. Subscribing to podcast or blog - if I follow it regularly - allows the author to choose that day what I learn about. Who should I trust that to? Maybe I just haven't found the right one yet.
That said, I can see a potential use in our organization if we have a podcast on client updates, tools updates, etc. that everyone in Support, Training, etc. should know about.
As for what I would like to learn about it, I don't think tools are too complicated, I need to understand the "why" so that I can see how to use it for some positive gain in my normal circles.
