We want to a) gauge your level of experience with blogs and b) make sure you come out of the program with what you need to take the next steps.

Do you read any? Which are your favorite? Do you use RSS? Do you have a blog of your own? What platform do you use? How often do you post? Do you have one in your organization?

How do you expect to use what you learn? What would you like to get out of the session?

What is it you would like to come away with regarding blogs? Would you feel more comfortable going to a "Basic" or "Advanced" class?

I have read blogs but don't keep up with any. I'm considering starting a blog internally so hope to learn a bit more about how to create one.

I have posted on the ASTD Cascadia Chapter blog - largely as a part of my responsibilities as co-director of the SW Washington GIG. To post you really should have something to say of value to the participants of the blog readers.

Probably an intermediate or advanced class would be good. I have read a lot of blogs and have an idea for how they work, for what makes a good one, and what makes a weak one. Maybe I just don't know what I don't know. I have not found any blogs that research to any significant degree the writings that are posted. So, they often seem to be an opinion page or a "look at what I did recently" entry or a "here is what I learned from an experience" post. Without intelligent research I am not sure that we are not spending "learning time" on tools that do not provide us solid and qualified information.
